Kemper CPA Group recently gathered for its 2026 Annual Meeting at the Ameristar in St. Charles, Missouri. This year’s event brought partners from across the firm together for focused discussion, connection, recognition, and celebration of the people and progress that continue to move Kemper forward.

Throughout the meeting, partners had the opportunity to connect with colleagues from other offices, participate in firmwide discussions, and celebrate the accomplishments of individuals and teams across Kemper. The Annual Meeting continues to be an important time to step back, recognize shared success, and focus on the firm’s continued commitment to serving clients and communities.

As part of the Annual Meeting, Kemper recognized achievements across the firm. Several offices were honored with a practice management award for their commitment to managing client engagements from start to finish, helping projects stay on track and ensuring clients receive timely, high-quality service: Olney, Illinois; Evansville, Indiana (including Kemper 1st Choice Payroll); Mt. Carmel, Illinois; Mattoon, Illinois; Robinson, Illinois; and our Retirement Plan Services department.

The 2026 Growth Recognition Award was presented to the Evansville Kemper Technology Consulting office for its strong performance during the recently completed fiscal year. Their continued success reflects consistent effort, intentional client conversations, and a commitment to helping clients identify solutions that support their businesses.

This year’s Morris E. Kemper Award was presented to Kimberly Walker, partner-in-charge of our Marion, Illinois office. The award is given annually to a partner for outstanding performance and leadership in providing quality client service, as well as consistently exceeding firm performance goals in marketing, practice management, and practice development. Kimberly’s leadership, resilience, and commitment to her office, clients, community, and the firm made her a deserving recipient of this special recognition.

The firm also recognized the 2026 Emerging Leaders Academy graduates and their guides, welcomed new partners into the partnership, and honored retiring partners for their years of service and contributions to the Kemper story.

The Annual Meeting is an opportunity to reflect on what has been accomplished, recognize those who are helping shape Kemper’s future, and celebrate the relationships that make the firm stronger.
