For the past several weeks, we have been closely monitoring the impact of COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) on communities and events around the world. Given the ongoing uncertainty, and the fact that the seasonal influenza (flu) virus is also widespread, we are taking steps to address a number of business concerns. First and foremost, we want to maintain a safe workplace and encourage and/or adopt practices to protect the health of Kemper team members, clients, visitors, and others. We also want to ensure continuity of service to you, our valued clients, throughout the pandemic.

Kemper CPA Group will continue to follow the guidelines of the CDC and federal, state, and local governments as applicable. Our team members have been instructed to remain home if they are not feeling well. We are also encouraging extra hygiene measures in order to reduce the risk to our team members, our clients, and others we may come in contact with. Protecting our staff and our clients remains our primary concern.

Fortunately, our technology allows us to be flexible in both how we work and how we interact with you. We have the ability to work remotely when necessary, and we can utilize telephone, email, video conferencing, screen sharing, and other technology in order to communicate with you and with each other.

In an effort to increase social distancing and to protect the health and well-being of our clients and team members, we encourage you to forego an in-person tax appointment when practical.  Instead, many of our local offices are requesting that you mail, drop off, or electronically transmit your tax information to us for the remainder of the tax filing season. Your local office will reach out to you if you have a previously scheduled appointment that will be cancelled.

Our partners and staff stand ready to serve you. We will continue to follow the evolving novel coronavirus situation and will provide additional updates if the situation warrants a change in the plans outlined above.
