Coleton was born and raised in Vincennes, Indiana. He graduated from Purdue University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and began his accounting career with BKD, LLP in Indianapolis before moving back home to Vincennes. He earned his CPA certificate in 2013 and joined Kemper CPA Group in 2015 when Mangin & Carter Co. merged with Kemper CPA Group.
While his focus is on agricultural clients, Coleton works on a variety of tax engagements and has extensive experience working with clients of all sizes and industries, including corporations, partnerships, and individuals. He also has experience with non-profits, including annual tax filing requirements and charitable gaming licenses.
As a member of the firm’s 1040 Project Team, he works to develop and implement tax preparation best practices. During the Covid-19 pandemic, he was instrumental in assisting clients with government assistance programs, including the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP Loans) and the Employee Retention Credit (ERC).
Coleton and his wife Aubri have three children, Kamryn, Bennett, and Beau. He enjoys coaching his children in their youth sports and being a fan of the Purdue Boilermakers and St. Louis Cardinals.
