Krista A. McLaren, CPA, was born and raised in Richland County, Illinois. She graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 2004 and a Master of Accounting Science in 2005.
After graduation, Krista passed the CPA exam in 2005 and began her career at Ernst & Young in Indianapolis. She was part of the Assurance Services practice at Ernst & Young for seven years and served as a manager. Krista joined Kemper CPA Group in 2012 as a manager in our Robinson, Illinois office. In 2018, she relocated to our office in Olney, Illinois, where she serves as Partner of the office.
Krista has a broad experience in taxation with all types of entities at various levels of complexity, including individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts. While at Kemper CPA Group, Krista has also had a focus on audits and reviews of local governmental entities, including single audits, non-profits, construction contractors, retailers, and banks.
