Michelle joined the firm in 2005 and began developing her skillset in the areas of accounting, tax, and medical billing. Michelle currently manages the medical billing staff and works directly with clients to assist with their practice management needs. Michelle has detailed knowledge in revenue cycle management, managing the appeals process, EDI transactions, ANSI 5010, quality and other government reporting programs, analyzing payer contracts, credentialing, coding, and quality control review. She also has assisted clients by working directly at their office, which gives her added insight as to what takes place in a busy medical office. In 2002, Michelle graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee at Martin (UTM). She then went on to receive a Master of Business Administration from UTM in 2003. Michelle was a member of the Phi Kappa Phi, Phi Theta Kappa, and Beta Gamma Sigma honor societies. In 2008, she passed the Certified Professional Coder examination, and she has actively participated in various leadership positions with the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC). In 2012, Kemper awarded her the Richard J. Roth Leadership Award, and she became a partner in 2017.
