Nicholas was born and raised in Mattoon, Illinois. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Southern Illinois University – Carbondale in 2012.
Shortly after graduating from SIU, he moved to Denver, Colorado where he was employed as a property manager for a Fortune 500 storage company. He managed various multi-million-dollar properties while attending Colorado State University in order to complete the accounting coursework required to become eligible for his CPA license. In 2017, Nicholas moved back to Mattoon and began his career with Kemper CPA Group as a staff accountant. He obtained his CPA license in 2020 and became a partner with Kemper CPA Group in 2023.
Nicholas specializes in auditing; he has experience with governmental entities, school districts, colleges, construction companies, and not-for-profit organizations. He is also proficient in the preparation of corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns.
Nicholas participated in the Rainmaker program in 2017, served on the Employee Advocacy group from 2018 to 2021, and completed the Faurote Group Leadership Training program in 2021.
