Ryan L. Masterson has extensive experience working with small business owners helping to navigate challenging tax issues, acquisitions, sales, succession, and other unique situations each encounter.
After graduating from Southern Illinois University Carbondale with a Bachelor of Science, magna cum laude and a Master of Accountancy in tax, he began his career at Kemper CPA Group in the Mt. Carmel office, successfully passing all sections of the CPA exam in November 2010.
Ryan holds credentials of Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV®). The Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV ®) credential is granted exclusively by the AICPA to CPAs and qualified finance professionals who demonstrate considerable expertise in business valuation through their knowledge, skill, experience, and adherence to professional standards.
Valuation engagement purposes completed include estate and gift taxes, divorce, mergers and acquisitions, employee stock ownership plans, succession planning and others.
In addition to tax and business valuation matters, Ryan has extensive experience in the oil and gas industry working with independent producers and affiliated service companies.
